We are thrilled to welcome Hadi-Badi co- founders, Hend Badawy and Raneem Soliman, back to the festival to lead an interactive storytelling session for children aged 4-8 years.

The session will introduce participants to good-quality Arabic children’s books that talks about what the ports could bring us in a fun and interactive way, engaging children and their parents or guardians. The storytelling will be followed by a creative activity linked to the book. The workshop will be conducted bilingually both in Arabic and English

Hadi Badi is an initiative that was launched in 2019 by three Egyptian women based in the UK, France, and Egypt respectively. Hadi Badi’s mission is to make Arabic Children’s Literature accessible to all through engaging reading experiences. The initiative targets children and young adults either directly through interactive activities or indirectly through awareness-raising and capacity-building activities for adults working with and for children of Arab heritage worldwide.
