Immerse yourself in a FREE afternoon of authentic Arab art, culture and community during this joyful celebration.

Featuring music and performance by leading musicians, Family Day also brings an array of creative workshops, mouthwatering cuisine and exciting children’s activities.

There will be over 20 stalls featuring authentic crafts, traders and so much more.

Family Day is an unmissable highlight in Liverpool’s cultural calendar.

Artist Bios

Mohamed Errebbaa & Tagna Groove

Mohamed Errebbaa is a Moroccan musician from Rabat, known for his mastery of the Gnawa musical tradition. He spent a decade traveling throughout Morocco, studying regional musical styles, especially the Gnawa bass lute, the Guembri. Mohamed has collaborated with international artists like Trevy Felix and Justin Adams, blending traditional African music with
global sounds.

He has performed at renowned festivals such as WOMAD (UK), Bergenfest (Norway), and Respect festival (Prague).
Mohamed leads the **Mohamed ERREBBAA & Tagna Groove band**, a project funded by the Arts Council UK, which modernizes Gnawa music with UK-based musicians, offering powerful performances that mix funk, blues, and jazz.

Mo Shabaka: Mohamad Aziz (Shabaka), Sudanese artist – Social activist and tenor vocalist, member of Igd-Aljalad vocal group (1998-2008).

He graduated from the University of Khartoum with a degree in Economics and Social Studies in 2002. He then studied for a BA in Music Production and Film Visual Culture and an MA in Creative Industries at Liverpool Hope University.

DJs
The DJ Sets will be performed by Jacques Malchance alongside Marwa and Reda who are part of Liverpool Arab Arts Festival’s Youth Music project.
