Bringing together three Spoken Word artists of diverse heritage and influence, Liverpool Arabic Arts Festival’s Artist in Residence, Dana Dajani, will be joined on stage by Yemeni-Scouse poet, Amina Atiq and queer British-Syrian writer and activist, Lisa Luxx.
Dana Dajani is am award winning Palestinian writer, performer and activist. She animates her theatrical poetry with gesture and character, to give her spoken word a performative edge.
Lisa Luxx is the winner of the Out-Spoken Prize for Performance Poetry 2018 and nominee for the Arts Foundation Fellowship in Poetry.
Amina’s lyrical poetry and performances combine creativity, expression and activism. These three inspiring voices will unravel themes including refugees, belonging, love, war and diaspora.
