Liverpool Arab Arts Festival returned to World Museum for a Saturday family extravaganza which captured the creativity, captivating stories and fascinating traditions of the Arab diaspora. Live performances included music from London Syrian Ensemble, Coat of Many Words discussions in the Treasure House Theatre, and Ancient Modernity, presented in response to the museum’s renowned ancient Egypt collection. There was humour and intrigue as resident storyteller Alia Alzougbi returned with traditional tales from the Arab world, and artist Rachel Gadsden invited audiences to join her in creating large-scale artwork live on site.
