A joyful public celebration of Eid al-Fitr marking the end of Ramadan, takes place in Tiber Square with a colourful, packed programme of family friendly cultural entertainment, food, arts and crafts. Come to Lodge Lane and see just what this famous Liverpool street has to offer.
LAAF is joining forces with local partners and groups, restaurants and retailers, to stage the event and all are invited! Artists taking to the stage include Anwar Ali and Dave Owen, Sound of Yemen, and Reham Al-Hakimi. LAAF storyteller in residence Alla Alzougbi will beguile you with stories from the Arab world, and as part of her “It was Paradise” project, internationally renowned visual artist Rachel Gadsden and guest Palestinian artist Ali Saeid Ashour will invite audiences to join them in creating large-scale artwork live on site. Amna Hussein, a Palestinian artist and embroiderer from Beit Duqoo village, Jerusalem, who is also collaborating with Rachel Gadsden, will run creative workshops.

Meet the restaurateurs and chefs bringing global flavours to L8, watch food demonstrations and sample food from around the world.
