Looking for two local youth choirs to sing with Reem Kelani

Another FREE exciting opportunity for your school to celebrate and learn about Arab arts and culture. Liverpool Arab Arts Festival (LAAF) are looking for 2 local youth choirs to get involved. 
 
Liverpool Youth Choirs, this is an exciting chance for you to perform on stage with the world renowned award winning singer Reem Kelani. 
 
To take part in this amazing opportunity we ask choirs to submit a short video (no longer than 60 seconds) singing why your choir should be selected to work with Reem.
 
Submit your videos to the LAAF Facebook page and tag #LAAF2017  by the Friday 23 June 5pm, and the selected choir will be announced on 27 June 2017

Criteria: 
  • Singers must be aged 14-25.
  • Choir must be available to work with Reem on the 13 and 14 July (for 2 x 2 hour sessions each day). Workshops to take place at your school.
  • Choir must be available to perform on the 16 July at the Palm House (Be available from 11am, performance time estimated around 2.30pm)
  • Choir must have support and chaperones to attend the performance event. 
 
Why and what your Youth choir would learn from Reem: 
 
A unique opportunity to learn traditional songs from Greater Syria, and Palestine created by leading Arab musicians. Learning and celebrating Arabic culture through singing.
